1966 vs. 1967-77 Bronco Tailgate Differences

While Ford Bronco tailgates look similar across 1966 to 1977 model years, there’s one key styling difference. The 1966 Bronco tailgate featured a continuous upper body line that ran across the full width of the tailgate. In 1967-77 Ford Bronco tailgates, Ford replaced that line with a distinct center bulge that spans roughly three-quarters of the tailgate.

Our replacement tailgates are built to match the 1967–77 Bronco tailgate design. They will fit perfectly in any early Bronco including a 1966 Bronco and are concours correct for 1967-77 models.
