What ratio were the stock Early Bronco steering boxes?

Factory power steering boxes used in 1972–75 Ford Broncos required approximately 6 turns lock-to-lock, which works out to roughly a 24:1 steering ratio. By modern standards, this is a very slow steering ratio and results in a less responsive feel.

In 1976–77, Ford upgraded the Bronco to a quicker 4 turns lock-to-lock steering box (about a 16:1 ratio), providing noticeably improved responsiveness and control.
