76-77 Ford Bronco Y-Style Steering Linkage
For the 1976-77 Ford Bronco model years, Ford introduced front disc brakes and redesigned the steering system to use a Y-style steering linkage. In this configuration, the tie rod runs from the driver-side steering knuckle and connects into the drag link, while the drag link continues from that junction across to the passenger-side steering knuckle and up to the pitman arm on the steering box. This Y-style layout was used only on 1976-77 Broncos, making the tie rod and drag link assembly unique to those final two years of the classic Bronco. Replacement 1976-77 Ford Bronco Y-style tie rods and drag links are available to maintain the original steering configuration used on these models.
