Early Bronco Atlas Transfer Case
Step up to serious drivetrain strength with the Atlas Transfer Case for the 1966-77 Ford Bronco. Built by Advance Adapters, the Atlas is widely regarded as the top choice for performance and reliability in an Early Bronco. Whether you’re building for extreme trail use or simply want a brand-new, gear-driven transfer case you can depend on, the Atlas delivers.
Featuring massive drive gears, synchronized shifting, and the ability to shift on the fly, the Atlas transfer case is engineered for durability under the toughest conditions. A large rear output shaft and heavy-duty internal components make it a proven upgrade for Broncos running more power, lower gearing, and demanding terrain.

Fitment & Driveline Considerations
The Atlas 2 is approximately 3½ inches longer than the stock Early Bronco Dana 20 transfer case. This means: * The rear driveshaft will need to be shortened * The front driveshaft may need to be lengthened approximately 1 inch While a body lift can make installation easier, the Atlas can be installed without one — just expect a tighter fit. Our tech team is available to assist with install questions.
Transmission Compatibility
The Atlas transfer case works with: Ford C4, Ford C6, Ford AOD, NP435, Borg Warner T18, NV3550, NV4500, Ford 6R80 and more. These applications require an Advance Adapters housing with a separate bearing housing that supports the transfer case input shaft bearing and seal. The Atlas will not bolt up to a factory Bronco 3-speed adapter or a 3-speed adapter that has been converted for use with an NP435. If you are running a converted 3-speed adapter, contact us before ordering.
Speedometer & Electronics Compatibility
Running the WH digital dash? We offer an adapter kit to ensure compatibility. Using factory Ford EFI and unsure how to handle the speed sensor? The Wild Horses Extreme team has the components you need to make it work correctly.
