What transfer case came in the 80-96 Ford Bronco & Truck Transmission platform?

The 1966–77 Early Bronco used the Dana 20 transfer case as standard equipment. We carry both Dana 20 rebuild parts and the premium Atlas transfer case upgrade for serious off-road builds.

Does Wild Horses 4x4 carry locking hubs for the Early Bronco?

Yes. We carry manual locking hubs from Mile Marker, Warn, and Yukon Hardcore in the 19-spline fitment used by all 1966–77 Bronco Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles. If you're running RCV 30-spline axles, we also carry matching 30-spline hubs.

What gear ratio should I run in my Early Bronco?

Gear ratio depends on your tire size and engine. As a general rule, 4.10 or 4.56 gears work well for 33–35" tires with a 302 or 351W. Running taller tires without re-gearing will cause the engine to labor and reduce both performance and fuel economy. Our tech team can help calculate the right ratio for your specific setup.
