66-77 Ford Bronco Hydroboost Features:

All-New Components: Includes all brand new parts—no rebuilt components—ensuring the highest quality and reliability.
Easy Installation: The firewall adapter plate bolts into the stock holes, with only a small modification needed to the firewall hole.
Complete System Available: For a hassle-free installation, choose the complete system that includes new hydraulic hoses, brake lines, and master cylinder.

Options:

Hydroboost Master Cylinder: This master cylinder is specifically designed to work with any hydroboost brake configuration. The stock master cylinder is not compatible with this kit.
Hydraulic Hose Set: Includes custom stainless steel braided hoses and fittings for your steering box and pump, along with stylish billet hose clamps. Option to select "No Hoses" if you prefer to source your own hoses.
Custom Brake Line Set: Made to order at WILD HORSES, these hoses connect the master cylinder to the proportioning valve. Available in Rubber or Stainless Steel options, or select "No Hoses" if desired.

Important Notes:

Proportioning Valve: Your proportioning valve or distribution block must be located in the stock position for this system to work correctly.
Compatibility: This system will not clear 5.0 or 5.8 EFI with the air cleaner and throttle body mounted on the driver's side.

Q: Is there a different proportioning valve if one has rear drum or disc?

A: Yes. There are either Disc/Disc prop valves, or Disc/Drum prop valves, like our #3037. Also, there are adjustable prop valves, where you can dial in the rear for either disc or drum, like our #3035

A: The hydroboost unit is the same. The Moab is a complete kit, where the #2992, the hydroboost unit is available alone, or with add-ons.

Q: Does this unit come with all necessary adapters for saginaw pump and steering box?

A: The unit itself does not come with fittings. However, if you purchase the Hydraulic Hose Set, hose and fittings for most Bronco applications are included, like for your Saginaw pump and box.

A: Yes, the Hydroboost will work with any size tire. It will give you more braking force at the wheels, with little force at the pedal.

After having done many upgrades to my 72 Sport over the years, including front disc from a donor 79 1/2 ton Ford pickup, my brakes were ok. But in the real world of driving among the not so attentive general public, the brakes were weak. I had considered going with traditional vacuum assist power brakes, but did not like the bulk and have lost confidence in the quality and reliability of our imported parts today. This hydroboost system from Wild Horses' seems to be excellent quality and the installation was not complicated. The only issue I had was that I had to file down the brake actuating rod for the brake switch to work properly, meaning that the brakes lights remained on regardless of any adjustment efforts. Fortunately, my initial driving experience was in my neighborhood and these brakes are IMPRESSIVE. It took a little time to adjust to the pedal sensitivity, but they really work good and the overall appearance is excellent without interfering with access to the engine.

Pretty straight forward install. Purchased the flexible lines and adapters from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve...Super nice quality. This system functions awesome with my 35 inch tires. All it takes is a soft touch to the brake pedal to bring her to a stop. Another major point that I cant get over is how much better the engine compartment looks with the master cylinder coming almost straight off the firewall and how much room is in there. Definately put it on the list for Santa. Wish I could add a picture.

Very nice set up. Heed the warning if running 35 inch or larger tires. I could not get the vacuum system to do the job no matter what I did. This is an easy install and worked perfectly without adjustments. Although they give you a variety of fittings I did need to buy an additional one for my early Saginaw pump.
