Stop better than you have ever stopped before! Experience the night and day difference between vacuum boost and hydroboost. Every part in our system is brand new.
Starting with our billet, precision machined, aluminum firewall mount. It's high tech and fits perfectly. Then our booster with top quality fittings. Next we add our HD master cylinder with its 1 1/8" bore and reservoir totally capable for running 4 wheel disc brakes. Stainless steel braided high pressure hoses with fittings ready to plumb into your steering box and pump. Our custom built made to DOT spec brake hoses finishes the package and means you won't spend any time looking for additional adapters. Just add brake fluid and steering fluid. That's all the "extra stuff" you will need.
Please note Ford used three different booster designs. View the images above and select the correct design for your bronco.

Asked by Skip, April 20, 2020
Q: Do the existing brake lines from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve require modification?
Answered by ☆ sales - April 21, 2020
A: The kit includes new lines from the master cylinder to the existing prop valve. An adapter is included with the hoses and they fit stock and most aftermarket valves.

Q: I changed my original 1979 bronco power steering pump to a Saginaw P series power steering pump. Will this work with a Saginaw P series power steering pump?
Answered by ☆ sales - September 4, 2019
A: Yes, in fact we recommend the P pumps over the stock pump, as the performance and pressure is better for the additional demand. We would expect no issue.
Asked by Chris, May 15, 2019
Q: What type of power steering fluid and how much in the reservoir?
Answered by ☆ sales - May 15, 2019
A: We like Swepco power steering fluid #2012, but you can use regular power steering fluid. Do not use ATF. 2 quarts should be more than enough, but we would get 3 quarts and have an extra quart on hand for top off on the street or trail.

Q: I have a 1979 f250 with Design II booster. Your system is labeled bronco/f150. Is there any reason this wouldn't work for a 250? Does this come with a proportioning valve for rear disc conversions? thanks
Answered by ☆ sales - August 23, 2016
A: The 3 versions cover 1965-79 F series, 1978 Bronco, and 1979 Bronco. A proportioning valve would be separate.
Asked by Austin, August 12, 2016
Q: The description specifies 4wd trucks, Will this work with 2wd trucks also?
I have a 1977 F150 2wd Super Cab Short Bed...
Answered by ☆ sales - August 12, 2016
A: It will work with 2wd or 4wd F series trucks as well. You will need to choose the design style of unit you need.
Asked by Fred, March 29, 2016
Q: What else do you need to buy for this kit to work?
Answered by ☆ sales - March 31, 2016
A: The kit comes with the hydro unit, master cylinder and hoses to attach the master cylinder to your proportioning valve. As well as hoses for the Hydro unit to your power steering pump and steering box.
Asked by Vince, October 2, 2015
Q: Hello,
I am interested in going to hydroboost with this system but can't afford the $950 price tag. Can Wildhorses offer a 'bracket + hoses kit?
What year and make is the hydroboost unit from? Some of us would prefer to scavenge the booster and master cylinder but need the adapter bracket and correct hoses.
Thanks,
Vince
Answered by ☆ sales - October 5, 2015
A: We do not offer a bracket separately for the Hydroboost system. They are designed for the 78-79 applications specifically, and are new units. We do have a separate hose kit #3065.
Asked by Shawn, June 26, 2013
Q: If the engine is off will u still be able to manually stop the vehicle like vacuum boosted brakes?
Answered by ☆ 8578 - June 26, 2013
A: Just like the vacuum boosted brakes you will have one or two easy pedal presses. Then the system will be harder to press but will still operate the brakes.

Q: I have a 1975 highboy with a dana 60 in the front and disk in the rear as well, will this hydro boost set up work in my truck,I have a 1979 cab,all stripped down ready for paint ,want to go hydroboost
Answered by ☆ WH tech - March 26, 2013
A: I can't give you any reason it won't work. The booster is designed to bolt into the 79 cab. As with any custom work we can't plan for every possible scenario i.e. different motors and different accessories. Most people building the projects adapt everything to work together. One thing for sure is you will love the results in braking power.
