Full description

A primary fan to replace your stock mechanical fan that features a dual speed motor that can move up to 2400 cfm and mounts as either as a pusher or puller fan without having to reverse the blade or rewire the motor. Features curved blades for quiet operation.

Upgrade your factory mechanical fan by installing our 17" High Output Electric Radiator Fan. This electric fan is designed to serve as the primary fan, replacing the stock mechanical fan. It comes equipped with a dual-speed motor capable of moving either 2400 cfm at high speed or 1800 cfm at low speed with a 24 or 18 amp draw, respectively.

This versatile electric fan can be mounted as either a pusher or puller fan without the need to reverse the blade or rewire the motor. It requires only 2.7 inches of clearance and features curved blades for quiet operation.

Important Note: While it can be mounted as a pusher, please note that there is not enough vertical clearance within the Bronco core support for it to bolt up in front of the radiator. Ensure a minimum of 3 inches of clearance between the back of the radiator and pulleys, or any other potential obstacles, to account for body flex and engine movement. Failure to provide adequate clearance may result in contact.

Q: Can I run the fan with a 50 amp CB inline without the dual mode controller so the fan will run all the time with the ignition on?

Answered by sales - April 20, 2023

A: Yes, you can run the fan with key on power, so it is running when the ignition is on. It does not have to have a controller and can be run on either high or low speeds.

I just put this in my 71 bronco, what an awesome fan. I can't say enough good things about it. I'd tried two other fans but neither would keep my engine cool until now.

The fan works great!! I'm using MSD Atomic EFI to control the fan speeds. It works well because of the 2 settings the fan and the throttle body have. Under the hood there is about 1/8 inch of room between the fan and the pulley attached to your water pump without modification. The upper radiator mounts can be moved to the "front" side of the core support to get you the extra clearance. Its quiet and effective. Jonny at Wild Horses was very helpful in figuring out how to make i fit.. give them a call.

For me the fan kicks in when my engine hits about 205 and the 1st speed drops its down to 190 in about 10 seconds. Haven't been in a situation where I need the second speed but I know I won't be over heating with this, much better than the mechanical one, just make sure you have the 3 inches or you will need to make new mounts for the top of the radiator
