Axle wrap is more than a nuisance - it’s a driveline killer. The Wrap Trap™ Axle Anti-Wrap System for Early Broncos gives you a smart, trail-ready solution that actually works. The Wrap Trap™ | Early Bronco Axle Anti-Wrap System

Axle wrap is one of those problems that hits hard when you're putting real torque through your Early Bronco drivetrain. The Wrap Trap™ Axle Anti-Wrap System is built specifically to solve this issue without sacrificing ride quality, articulation, or ground clearance. Unlike traditional systems that limit suspension travel or hang too low, the Wrap Trap mounts at the centerline of the axle, maintaining full articulation while locking down rearend rotation during rock crawling and trail climbs.

Torque forces the pinion gear to try and climb the ring gear. This causes the entire rear axle housing to rotate, which can bind or even break your driveshaft. That’s axle wrap. The Wrap Trap is engineered to eliminate that rotation in both forward and reverse under low-speed torque loads—exactly the conditions that punish Broncos in technical terrain. For even better control, pair it with our Extreme Duty U-Bolt Kit and lock your axle setup in tight.

  • Stops Axle Wrap Cold – Prevents damaging rearend rotation under torque in both forward and reverse

  • Trail-Tested Design – Optimized for rock crawling where torque loads are highest and damage is most common

  • No Loss in Suspension Travel – Center-mounted design keeps full articulation intact, unlike traditional traction bars

  • Protects Rear Driveshafts – Reduces bind and stress on the lower yoke, preventing breakage during climbs or wheel hop

  • Works Best With Tight U-Bolts – Combine with our Extreme Duty U-Bolt Kit for maximum drivetrain control

If you’ve ever snapped a driveshaft under load, you know axle wrap is no joke - the Wrap Trap kills axle wrap and keeps your 66-77 Bronco’s rearend locked down.

Not only did this simple, effective device eliminate my axle wrap, I can literally feel the power gain as more torque makes it to the ground instead of getting wrapped up in my leaf springs. I was not expecting the increase in handling, stability, torque, etc. that this product provides. I shopped around looking at various devices that looked over-built and questionably effective before deciding on this. I am very satisfied with this. Two thumbs way, way up for the design and production. Awesome product!

Installation was very straight a head Had to shape the pumpkin head brackets a bit but other than that great purchase...Will have to try it out on the trail when it stops raining here in So. Cal.

I have not installed it yet. But, the construction quality is awesome. It is very heavy duty. The pattern for the rear end mount is nearly perfect, and the size of the heim is great. I bet once it is in it will make a huge difference. It may be 5 stars after I install it.

very impressive piece of hardware, the crossmember is a very solid piece. If there were a negative: felt like the install instructions said to refer to a picture online and replicate what you saw. I debated over where to install crossmember and length to set the link at to have proper adjustment in the future.

Design works great keeping bar out of interference when climbing rocks. Easy to install. Solved axle wrap issue. Allows me to put the pedal into the 351W knowing power will go to the wheels.

I ran this product for many years then switched to a full width rear and FAILED to weld on a new set of brackets to the rear end. 1. Broke a 9" rear yoke in Arkansas 2. Broke rear driveline on Arizona 3. Broke rear driveline on the Rubicon. I've had enough it's going back on before the next run. All the damage is the result of rear axle wrap. My springs are 10+ years old well worn with lots of trail and street miles. They flex great but they wrap great too. My opinion is if you rock crawl you need a wrap trap. Jim Creel
