-
Possible Body Lift Requirement: Based on the application you are installing your new Atlas transfer case in, you may need to add a body lift for proper clearance.
- CV Yoke Selection: Use our chart below for help identifying which CV Yoke series your vehicle should have. However, please double-check your vehicle to ensure you order the correct yokes as many rigs have been modified or upgraded over the years.
Early Bronco Specific Notes (1966–77 Ford Bronco)
If you're installing the Atlas 2 in a classic Early Bronco, keep these key details in mind:
-
Fitment Adjustments: The Atlas is about 2.5" longer than the factory Dana 20, requiring rear driveline shortening and potentially front driveline lengthening. A body lift helps—but isn't required (tight fit).
-
Shifter Kit Options: Standard configuration includes a twin-stick shifter for '66–77 Broncos. A cable-operated shifter upgrade is also available.
-
C6 Conversion Caveat: If your C6 output shaft was cut to adapt to a Dana 20 input shaft, it won’t be compatible with the Atlas 2.
-
Adapter Compatibility: Will not bolt to the stock 3-speed Bronco adapter or NP 435 with a converted 3-speed adapter. Contact us for proper conversion support.
Available Speedometer Connection Kits
-
Stock Speedometer (No EFI): Direct-connect cable to stock Bronco speedo.
-
Stock Speedometer with EFI: Kit includes pulse sensor, coupler, drive pin, and cable.
-
Digital Speedometer Kit: Includes cable, coupler, and drive pin for use with existing VSS sensor.
