Full description
STRENGTH
We know RCV products are the best. They do in house and third party testing to ensure that these products perform at the highest level. It is offered in4340.The 4340 alloy steel is a heat treatable and low alloy steel containing chromium, nickel and molybdenum. It has high toughness and strength in the heat treated condition.
CV vs. U-JOINT
On average, RCV CV axles are almost 2X as strong as the OEM axles!!LOW MAINTENANCE
You might be wondering if you have to re-grease these RCV Performance cv joints. Yes, but only a couple times a year because they are packed with grease! Unlike, u-joints that you have to grease almost every time you go out!The low maintenance aspect is what I like best about the RCV axles. I have run the best of the conventional u-joint style axles but they have all been high maintenance. Jim Creel
MADE IN USA
RCV product quality cannot be matched! RCV products are made with only the highest grade materials, they only buy U.S. steel. Better materials and workmanship comes with a higher price. You get what you pay for. When our customers open the box we want them to know that they got what they paid for.Are cv joints more expensive than u joints? The RCV Ultimate CV Joints are actually less expensive than the highest end U-joints. Even though RCV CV-Joints are almost twice as strong as the best U-joint setup out there!
DAILY DRIVERS NO PROBLEM
We encourage use of RCV products in daily drivers. They have done extenesive testing to make sure the CV axles can stand up to cross country road trips as well as hitting the trail hard. Try this with traditional highend U-joint setups, you will wear your joints out in no time!WARRANTY
If you have a warranty issue, call us. The warranty states, "You break it, we replace it!"Specific 66-77 Bronco info
One thing that's different (aside from the obvious) about the RCV axles is the 30 spline outer axle. The 30 spline design adds approximately 30% more contact surface between the outer axle and hub making for a much stronger outer. This necessitates a locking hub change or you can opt for drive flanges (slugs).Due to the larger diameter of the CV joint use the large opening knuckles like the 76-79 Ford disc brake knuckles. You will want to factor this in when doing a complete axle build.
WH does not recommend using these axles with the 71-75 Bronco steering knuckle.

Q: Rcv axles are 30spline outers?, wouldn't I need a 30spline spindle? Do you carrier this?

A: Yes, the RCV axles are 30 splined, but they are sized to fit through the stock 76/77 spindles.

Q: Does this axle set work with the Yukon Hardcore Hubs?
Answered by ☆ Jeff Stanton - June 10, 2017
A: Yes, the Yukon Hardcore locking hubs will work with these axle shafts.
Answered by ☆ sales - August 2, 2016
A: The 8890 RCV's have 30 spline outers. If your Hardcore hubs are for 19 spline for stock axles, then no. You would need the locking hubs for 30 splined outers.
