Product Overview:

68-77 Heavy Duty Defroster Duct
Brand new heavy duty defroster duct. It's molded like the original 68-77 duct but made of better material so it won't crack on the ends like the stock one. This could be used on the 66-67 but you would need to tape off the center defrost opening. 66-67 had just two openings and the 68-77 had three.

Asked by Ramin, March 2, 2020

Q: If I use this on a 1967 with a 1968+ dash pad, will I still need to cover the middle vent or can I run all 3 vents?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 3, 2020

A: There is normally no center hole in the early sheet metal dash. So, the center vent would still be covered.

Asked by mark, May 26, 2014

Q: Will this defroster duct work on a 1966 Bronco also?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - May 27, 2014

A: The reason it's listed for 68-77 is because it has 3 slots for defrost. The 66-67 only has 2. The solution is to tape over the middle slot and install the vent. So it can be used for the 66-67.

Duct fit perfectly back in the original location and appears to be made of a higher quality material. My old duct was so cracked and broken that it practically fell out, I am looking forward to being able to defrost my windshield.

Perfect fit and seems to made out of a material that is less brittle than original.

Got this as I was replacing a heater core and needed to pull my dash apart anyway (my old defroster duct was cracked). Looks better than the original.

Pulled my dash and the 40+ year old duct was brittle and cracked and both ends were missing. Replacement is an exact fit and of heavier construction...should last longer than me. Very pleased with the quality.
