Asked by Andy, July 22, 2020

Q: What's the difference between the import version and the oem version?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - July 22, 2020

A: The OEM version is finished nicer and closer in style to the original. The import is a descent budget copy.

Q: Since these plastic escutcheons are not available, how do you remove without damage?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - June 15, 2020

A: These handles are held on with a center screw into the regulator, not a clip on the back side.

Q: Do the plastic washers come with? If not are they available?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - November 11, 2019

A: The window cranks do not include the plastic washer, escutcheon. We do not currently have that part available.

Asked by Noel, September 26, 2015

Q: Is this one or one pair?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - September 28, 2015

A: The window crank is sold each. If you need a pair, order two.

These are nice window levers, with 2 exceptions. 1) you have to put the knob/handle on the arm yourself with no instruction. I used a C-clamp, and made sure that I had the spring washer in the correct side. I also used a little grease because without it, it was very difficult to spin, and made rolling up the window very difficult. 2) the screws to mount the arms are too long, and weak. I was screwing it in and at just under a 1/4" left, it bottomed out and snapped off in the hole. I tried drilling it out, but the way it snapped, I could not get the drill bit centered, so had to remove the whole mechanism and replace it.

Excited to finish the look to our door and then the center screw was missing. Dug around in my dad's tools to find something that would work. Not a big deal, but it'd have been the cherry on top if it was included.

I'm please with the overall value on this item, but a bit disappointed it did NOT include the screw that goes through the center of the hand crank to the regulator. Another .10 cent screw would have achieved the envious 5 Star Rating.
