This front center parking brake cable is the essential link that keeps your e-brake functional and your 1966-76 Ford Bronco safe when parked. This is the factory-style non-threaded system found in most early Broncos. It’s a must-have part for any rebuild, brake refresh, or restoration.

Front Center Parking Brake Cable | 1966–76 Ford Bronco

This front center parking brake cable is the correct replacement for a 1966–76 Ford Bronco using the non-threaded style found on most factory builds. It runs from the e-brake pedal inside the cab to the center pivot assembly mounted to the frame, forming a key part of your emergency brake system. Whether you're doing a full brake system refresh or just replacing a stretched-out or seized cable, this one installs clean and connects exactly like the original—as long as you're still using the factory-style frame-mounted pivot assembly.

  • Correct Fit: Designed specifically for 1966–76 Ford Bronco with factory-style cable routing.

  • Non-Threaded Style: Matches the most common OEM-style cable found on early Broncos.

  • Cab to Chassis Connection: Links the e-brake pedal to the center brake pivot under the frame.

  • Factory Compatibility: Requires use of the original frame-mounted parking brake pivot assembly.

  • Solid Control: Restores proper function to your emergency brake system.

Built for 1966–76 Ford Bronco, this front center emergency brake cable gives you a solid link between the e-brake pedal and pivot - just like factory original.

Installed the rear brake and emergency brake cables in my 72 Bronco. They fit and work perfect.

wow what a big improvment over the old one

These brake lines are much smoother than stock, but the "nodules" at the ends of these after market cables more like a cylinder and much longer than the spherical OEM Ford E-Brake lines. Save yourself some time and grind excess material off the end of the cables to ensure you can slide them into E-Brake Pedal attachment point. I wrestled for way too long, and had to take everything apart again. Double Check your clearance at the E-Brake in the cabin prior to crawling under the Bronco.

High quality cables and easy to change out from the originals. Works great and only took about 2 hours to take all the brakes apart and install all new cables.
