If you're running a modern powertrain swap in your classic Bronco or Ford truck, the Dakota Digital Bus Interface Module (BIM-01-2) bridges the gap between your engine’s ECM and your Dakota Digital gauges. Plugging directly into your vehicle's OBD-II diagnostic port, it pulls live data and feeds it seamlessly into your VHX, RTX, HDX, or VFD3 instrument cluster—eliminating the need for additional sensors or wiring headaches.

• Simple OBD-II plug-in setup: Connects directly to your vehicle's diagnostic port (J1850/CAN protocols)

• Sends live data to Dakota Digital gauges: Speedometer, tachometer, engine temp, and check engine indicator supported on most systems

• Vehicle-specific extras: May include intake temp, trans temp, ambient air temp, gear position, oil pressure, and boost—depending on ECM and sensors

• Designed for black control modules only: Compatible with RTX, HDX, VHX, and VFD3 systems using a black plastic control box

• Compatibility: Works with SAE J1850 VPW, J1850 PWM, and ISO 15765 CAN protocols using SAE J1979 PID standards

• Not compatible with: Dakota Digital systems using older aluminum control boxes (pre-BIM systems)

• GM Connect & Cruise packages: Will not transmit gear position data

• Pro Tip: If your system has a 3.5mm BIM input, you’ll need Dakota Digital part #394193 adapter harness for proper connection
