Can this tank utilize the factory skid plate?

Yes, you can re-use your factory skid plate. This tank is modeled after the 1970-77 Ford Bronco tank. If you have an earlier model skid plate, it will work but may not seat as nicely as it should. Early tanks didn't have the bump on the bottom, so the skid plate didn't have a provision for it.
