I just stumbled across this Gear Banger kit. I have a 1978 Jeep CJ5 that the previous owner did a NP435 conversion in. I love the transmission, but hate the long throw of its shifter. Plus in granny or third gear the shifter is practically shoved to the dash. Would this application work for my CJ? Thanks, Danny

• Is the shift knob the same thread pattern as the factory ford np435 shift knob? general
