    Will the pertronix flame thrower III units work in my 79 ford 460? It says for early ford to 1977.

    If you are running the Pertronix III igniter setup in your distributor, then, yes, we would recommend this coil. If you are just looking for an upgrade over stock, we would use #8082 or 8082BK.
