Are the brackets that come with these stainless steel or do they need to be painted?

• Do you sell replacement shox versus having to buy the brackets along with the shox? general
• Being a vertically challenged guy....will the overall height of the hood in the open position be the same height or lowe general
• Do you guys sell the ball studs by it self, I bought the kit but I lost one of them general
