Im looking at getting a soft top for the summer, but is it hard to remove when I put the hard top back on for the winter?

Not hard, but does take tools and time. The soft top structure bolts to the body like the hard top. It would need to be completely removed. Maybe a bikini top if you have a roll bar. Check out part # 3260.
