I removed and like a dummas, thru away my 1974 steering wheel when i got one for a 78 bronco. I did not know they are different in the back.
the 78's has two concentric circles. One is a ground, so i can bypass that by taking one of the wires from the horn and screwing it directly to the steering wheel. But as far as the self cancelling goes, my 74's seemed like is cancelled the signals but i did not have a spring nor this part behind it. there was nothing.
maybe it was my imaginition then that they cancelled. So i might need the spring too? i dont know. do they go together? It looks like i'm going to have to get another steering wheel.
