Asked by Bill W, April 17, 2023
Q: I have a 1974 with vacuum wipers and hardtop. If i convert to these wipers do i need to change headliner?
Answered by ☆ sales - April 20, 2023
A: Yes, the stock wiper motor cover will not fit over this setup. Rather than having the hole for the cover in the headliner, we would change it out to the vacuum style headliner which covers all the way to the windshield.

Q: I have no wires in the frame now. The kit comes with short wires on the switch. Do I just pull the 8 or so wires shown on the instructions up through the frame on the drivers side and run to the motors?
Answered by ☆ sales - June 24, 2020
A: Yes, all new wires will need to go to each motor, per the instructions. The switch wires are relatively short, so additional wiring is most likely needed.
Asked by Allen Neal, May 28, 2020
Q: Can you tell me the dimensions of the wiper motors used in this kit? The thickness of the motor and cover not including the shaft, length of the motor, and the width. Thank you
Answered by ☆ sales - May 29, 2020
A: The motor portion measures - 7.625 L x 4 W x 2 D, not including the shaft.
Asked by Dave Cheney, January 21, 2020
Q: will the stock wiper arms fit on these motors?
Answered by ☆ sales - January 21, 2020
A: Yes, the stock style wiper arms should fit with no issue.
Asked by Todd, December 26, 2016
Q: Is it possible to use the factory wiper switch with this application?
Answered by ☆ sales - December 28, 2016
A: The switch is what makes the motor synchronized. The #5300 kit uses a standard switch with two motors, but they will not stay in sync.
Asked by nick, December 14, 2012
Q: So my bronco has no wiper parts what so ever and i need to buy them. Im having some confusion on what parts to buy. Iv seen the one motor set up with the linkage. I think mine is 1967 which had the vacume motors. Can i buy this 2 motor set up and eliminate the linkage? Thanks
Answered by ☆ WH tech - December 16, 2012
A: The quick answer to your question is YES, this kit will eliminate the need for any linkage.
Long answer: 66-68 Broncos came stock with vacuum wipers. Two small motors with no linkage. The positions of the holes for the wipers in the 66-68 windshield frames are different than the 69-77. This is the main reason it is easier to use this kit rather than finding a stock type 69-77 Bronco set up. Also that lack of linkage eliminates the need for the wiper motor cover like the stock 69-77 Bronco.
