This column mount clam-shells together with one bolt to hold your 3.5" tach securely to the column. If you're doing a super resto-mod or just want a clean solution to mounting the tach... this little baby is the right choice for you! Precision machined billet annodized aluminum that is available for both factory and aftermarket steering columns. Please specify column when ordering.
Note: Billet tach mount can be clocked 360º around the column. Our main photo shows the mount on a stock column at the 12:00 position. The other photo shows the mount on an aftermarket tilt column at the 8:30 position. Most aftermarket tilt columns will not have enough room to mount the tach at the 12:00 position.

Q: I have a 2 1/4 column but my tack is a s/w 82162-B the body is 3.2695 and the outside lip is 3.6910 will #2909 mount work?

A: It clamps to 3.5. If your tach has a taper to it, where you can catch a portion that is 3.5, you should have no problem. Otherwise, you may have to find or create a shim to take up the space. With our tach, we use the 2911 cup to house it, then clamp the cup and tach with the 2909. Or tach's o.d. is 3 3/8.

Q: i have a 1970 chevy impala will it fit that column?

A: It clamps to a 2 1/4 outside diameter column. Sorry, we do not know if it fits your Chevy column.

A: This size fits the Direct Fit, Universal column shift (auto), and the stock column. For a floor shift (aftermarket), check out #'s 2903 for 2 or 2915.

A: It is approximately 7/16 - 1/2 thick.

A: Most of the time customers are using a tach which fits in a 3.5 cup. The 3 3/4 will be to large to fit.
