WH has moved the Early Bronco fuel tank into the modern era.

The M1A1 is made from 14 gauge stainless steel. Leave the rust worries behind.

You won't see the typical waves and distortion found on most after market Bronco tanks on the M1A1 Our welders are true artists. The craftsmanship is second to none on these fully tig welded tanks.

A convenient drain plug is located on the side of the tank.

The M1A1 is secured under your Bronco with a pair of custom made heavy duty candy cane bolts and a stainless steel strap.

You can opt for the 3/16" thick armor skid plate With its side and bottom protection this form fitting skid plate can take a beating while creating an impenetrable shied for your tank against menacing trail boulders.

The M1A1 fuel pick up module can be used with or without an in-tank fuel pump. We've made it easy to swap out later if your needs change. The module provides ports for fuel supply, fuel return and venting.

Fuel capacity is 22-23 gallons so you won't have to worry on those longer excursions.

The new Isspro sending unit is a custom made just for the M1A1.

The M1A1 design optimizes ground clearance which also gives a much more stealthy look from behind than previous versions.

Asked by Steven, April 28, 2024 21:50

Q: What is the difference between the sk and st fuel tank

1 Answer

Answered by sales - April 29, 2024 15:24

A: The "SK" is for a skid plate mount for the tank. The "ST" is for a strap mount. The skid plate mount would give you extra protection for the bottom of the tank.

Asked by frank haynie, February 6, 2024

Q: Will the sending unit work with stock 1977 fuel gauge? We have the tank, but before we assemble wanted know.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - February 6, 2024

A: Yes, our M1A1 tank uses the same ohm range as stock, 10-75 ohms.

Asked by sean Morris, January 12, 2022

Q: can i order the tank with efi set up and use it for carb until i get efi for it?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - January 12, 2022

A: We would not recommend it. It would be best to get the tank kit for non efi, and just add the pump kit later, #9667.

Asked by Eric Ornelas, June 27, 2020

Q: Will the stock filler neck work on this tank?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - June 29, 2020

A: Yes usually. The filler inlet on the tank is 1.75, same as stock, 66-76. The '77 Broncos usually use the 2.25 X 2.00, so with an aftermarket tank is installed, it would need a 2.25 X 1.75 hose.

Asked by Rick, June 18, 2020

Q: Does the tank have any type of sump for the EFI or is the tray on the pump the only sump? What is the AMP draw on the pump?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - June 18, 2020

A: The tank has a baffle, and the pump sits in the tray. The tray is the only sump for the pump and the foam in the tray is to reduce fuel slosh in the tray. The manufacturer does not list the specific amp draw, so, we would recommend the use of a relay to be safe.

Asked by Tim Bjork, January 22, 2020

Q: Does this tank need to be painted or is it good as is.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - January 23, 2020

A: The tank does not need to be painted. We have seen people paint, polish, or leave them plain. With Stainless Steel construction, rust is one less thing to worry about.

Asked by Anonymous, April 26, 2019

Q: What are all the dimensions for the fuel tank as a whole? I am looking to retrofit this into my application and was wanting to measure before ordering.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - May 3, 2019

A: The tanks outside dimensions are 22 3/4 wide, x 20 1/2, front to back, x 14 1/4 tall, measured with a tape measure, rounding up to the nearest 1/8.
