Early Bronco Front End Parts
Early Bronco Front End Parts: Dana 30 & Dana 44 Front Axle
There were two front end types offered on 66-77 Ford Broncos. The Dana 30 front axle came on 66-71 Broncos. In mid-1971, Ford switched to the Dana 44 for 72-77 Ford Broncos. The Dana 44 is a beefier, more capable front end than the Dana 30. All early Bronco Dana 30's came with drum brakes. Dana 44's were drum brakes through 1975. For 76-77 Ford Bronco year models, the Dana 44 came with factory disc brakes.
