Bolt the driver-side front seat brackets to the Bronco floor using the supplied hardware as shown in the reference image. Test-fit the Caballo seat before final tightening. The slotted mounting holes allow minor adjustment to account for variations between Early Broncos.
Install the passenger-side brackets as shown in the reference image. If you have not purchased the under-passenger storage option for your Early Bronco, attach the optional spacer bracket to the bottom of the left passenger floor bracket using (2) 5/16" x 1/2" bolts.
Drill the (2) rear mounting holes in the passenger-side floor. Always confirm seat position and check under the Bronco for fuel lines, electrical wires or other components that should be avoided before drilling. Secure the brackets underneath the Bronco using large flat washers and 5/16" nylock nuts.
Attach the seat sliders to the floor brackets using the supplied spacers between the slider and bracket. These spacers provide clearance for the bracket mounting bolts. Refer to the seat slider-to-seat instructions to verify correct slider orientation on the Caballo seats.
Use (7) 5/16" x 3/4" NC button head bolts through the seat slider and spacer into the threaded holes in the floor brackets:
• (4) bolts on the driver side
• (3) bolts on the passenger side (marked “A” in the reference image)
Reference Pic #1 showing the underside of the seat (material removed for illustration only). Use the holes indicated by the circles. Both front and rear sliders mount using the holes farthest toward the rear of the seat.
The upholstery does not need to be removed - fold it under to access the holes.
Place spacers between the seat frame and sliders. Bolt the sliders to the seat frame. Referencing Pic #2, push down on the front of the slider lever to move the sliders forward and expose the rear bolt holes for installation. Push down on the front of the slider lever again and slide the sliders back to access and install the front bolts. Once front and rear bolts are installed, tighten all bolts securely.
In Pic #3, slide the towel bar onto the sliders. The bend at the front of the towel bar must face toward the seat, not the floor. This orientation makes the seat adjustment handle easier to reach once installed in the Early Bronco.
