Q: On the tube threads is a sealer used

A: You can use a thread sealing paste or tape on the threads. The threads are tapered to help with sealing, but a little added insurance is ok too.

A: Yes, it can. However, sometimes a little bending for fitment is needed. This is what we would use, other than finding something flexible elsewhere if available.
