Early Bronco C4 Neutral Safety Switch

This neutral safety switch is for use with the C4 automatic transmission found on 73-77 Ford Broncos. The neutral safety switch, also referred to as a park safety switch, prevents the vehicle from being started in any gear aside from park or neutral. This safety feature prevents you from starting the Bronco in drive or reverse which could result in the vehicle unexpectedly lurching when it starts.

Along with preventing the Bronco from starting when in gear, the neutral safety swithc also controls the reverse lights sending a signal to the backup lights when the Bronco is placed in reverse gear.

Our early Bronco neutral safety switches have been upgraded internally to a higher quality contact assembly to ensure improved durability over other aftermarket park safety switches. These switches connect directly to the factory wiring. All early Broncos with automatic transmissions from the factory came with a C4 automatic.
