Q: will the knob come off? I bought billet knobs and cant find the old shaft

A: You will need to cut, grind, or break the old knob off. Save the shaft, as you will need the overall length.

The headlight knob assembly would not lock into the headlight switch. I switch the steel rod from the old assembly to the new knob that fixed it. The old rod has a wider locking groove then the new one.
