Q: Does the T handle button on the passenger side have a spring that goes on the shaft to operate it

A: There is a spring inside the handle to give the button resistance when pushed.

Q: How do you remove the old T-Handle?

A: There is a set screw that keeps the handle locked onto the shift shaft. Remove the set screw and the handle should pull right off.
