Product Overview:

When your Bronco’s suspension travel outpaces your front driveshaft’s flexibility, the Super-Flex U-Joint steps in. Engineered for extreme axle droop, this 1310 series U-joint uses offset trunnions to create up to 10 degrees of extra articulation—a game changer for off-road rigs running lifts over 3.5". While it may introduce some vibration at speed due to its eccentric rotation, it shines where it counts most: slow-speed crawling and high-flex terrain. If you’re building a Bronco that plays hard off-road, this specialty joint is a key piece of the puzzle.

Super-Flex U-Joint | 1310 Series | Front Driveshaft for Early Bronco

Built to solve one of the most common issues in lifted Broncos, the Super-Flex U-joint features offset trunnions that allow for increased driveshaft angle without binding. This joint offers up to 10 degrees more articulation than a standard U-joint, making it a critical upgrade for rigs running over 3.5 inches of lift or experiencing front driveshaft binding during axle droop.

Recommended for front driveshaft use only, particularly in slow-speed rock crawling or extreme off-road articulation scenarios. Not intended for daily drivers.

  • Increased Flexibility: Off-set trunnion design provides up to 10° more articulation than standard U-joints.

  • For Front Driveshaft Use: Ideal for Early Broncos with 3.5" or more suspension lift.

  • Solves Binding Issues: Specifically designed to relieve bind during axle droop in extreme off-road conditions.

  • Best for Rock Crawling: Perfect for low-speed articulation-heavy terrain.

  • Fits 1310 Series: Compatible with front driveshafts using 1310 U-joint dimensions.

  • Not for High-Speed Use: May cause vibration due to eccentric operation—designed for function over finesse.

  • Lift-Dependent Use Case: Only necessary in setups with high articulation and steep driveshaft angles.

Tackle big articulation without bind—Super-Flex U-joint adds 10° more flex for your Bronco’s front driveshaft. Best for lifted rigs and rock crawling.

There is no problem so far with the 1st, installed on the transfercase/front drive shaft, but the front drive shaft to front axle has to wait until the front springs are rebuilt.

Order No.182012A Ordered 2-26-12, arrived 3-5-12, waited until weather warmed up, installed on 3-28-12,on 5500 Lb 75 K5, 10.125" lift with 17/40-15 Monster Mudders, installed on front drive shaft to NP205 Xfercase. Road tested 3-29-12, found OK, very satisfied. With 5-153X stock UJ, it was hitting even with yoke on NP205 ground some and large yoke on the drive shaft. Road tested at 30 MPH on dry pavement, part time 4x4, hubs locked, slight pulsation noise, deemed more than ACCEPTABLE. Will put same on front drive shaft to front axle when add more lift and put it on rear drive shaft. With part time conventional 4x4 I do not go over 30 mph in 4x4 on the pavement.
