Description

17" High Output Radiator Fan
Designed to be used as a primary fan, replacing your stock mechanical fan, this unit features a dual speed motor that can move either 2400 cfm (high speed) or 1800 cfm (low speed) with a 24 or 18 amp draw respectively. Mounts as either as a pusher or puller fan without having to reverse the blade or rewire the motor. Requires a mere 2.7 inches of clearance. Features curved blades for quiet operation.

Important Note: While this fan can be mounted as a pusher, there is not enough vertical clearance within the Bronco core support for it to bolt up in front of the radiator. Please be sure to have at least 3 inches of clearance between the back of the radiator and pulleys, or anything else it might hit, to allow for body flex and engine movement, otherwise contact may occur.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

* Have you verified that you have at least 3 inches of clearance between the back of the radiator and pulleys, or anything else it might hit, to allow for body flex and engine movement?

I just put this in my 71 bronco, what an awesome fan. I can't say enough good things about it. I'd tried two other fans but neither would keep my engine cool until now.

The fan works great!! I'm using MSD Atomic EFI to control the fan speeds. It works well because of the 2 settings the fan and the throttle body have. Under the hood there is about 1/8 inch of room between the fan and the pulley attached to your water pump without modification. The upper radiator mounts can be moved to the "front" side of the core support to get you the extra clearance. Its quiet and effective. Jonny at Wild Horses was very helpful in figuring out how to make i fit.. give them a call.

For me the fan kicks in when my engine hits about 205 and the 1st speed drops its down to 190 in about 10 seconds. Haven't been in a situation where I need the second speed but I know I won't be over heating with this, much better than the mechanical one, just make sure you have the 3 inches or you will need to make new mounts for the top of the radiator
