Product Overview:

Here is our new Night Lighter Headlight Harness. The old Bronco light switch can barely handle the current needed to run stock headlights. Maybe you have had the flickering Bronco headlight syndrome. The stock headlight switch definitely can't handle the current needed to run modern H4 bulbs. How the Bronco is wired is the power runs from the battery into the dash, branches off a few times, then into the headlight switch. The headlights are then drawing power from this switch. What that means is after all the voltage drops you end up with 9-10 volts at the headlights. These harness use a relay system to put direct battery voltage (often 14.4 volts)directly to your headlights creating a brighter light.
Plug the harness in and the old light switch activates the new harness and the load bearing relays to bring power from the battery directly to the headlights. The harness is all "plug and play" and very simple to install.

Asked by Bruce Wyatt, December 27, 2023

Q: Do I need this night lighter harness with the painless rewire harness ?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - January 8, 2024

A: You don't need it but you may still want to add it as an option because the Painless kit still supplies headlight power through the headlight switch the same way Ford designed it. Not a good way to bring power to todays higher powered headlights.

Asked by John, October 27, 2023

Q: Will the 6129 kit work on my !976 F350 Supercab?

1 Answer

Answered by sales - November 1, 2023

A: We do not think this will fit your application. The 66-77 Bronco is a bit narrower then your truck. You may be able to modify it though, extend, if you wanted.

Asked by Jeff, January 23, 2017

Q: I am installing a new CENTECH wiring harness and the WH Revolution 7 LED Headlight Kit #6147. Do I need the Night Lighter Headlight Harness #6129 to make this work properly?

A: You do not have to use an additional harness. However it is a nice upgrade, and makes life easier for your headlight switch.

Asked by stewart, September 10, 2016

Q: I'm doing the install on the 6129 harness. I am trying to figure out the wire connections for the yellow connector (white red and black wires). I don't have the female connector in the spaghetti of what the prior owner left me in the vehicle). The ground is pretty straight forward but not sure about the other two wires?
Thanks!

1 Answer

Answered by sales - September 13, 2016

A: The yellow connector with the white, black, and red wires gets plugged into the original headlight plug socket. This gives power from the switch to actuate the relays for the new harness.

Asked by Steve, August 11, 2016

Q: I have your H4 headlights and need to upgrade the wiring harness, confused on what the difference is between
the 6129($35) & the 6106($70).
Can you advise what the difference is, they sound like they do the same thing.
Thanks!

1 Answer

Answered by sales - August 12, 2016

A: The 6106 has the capability of running both high and low beams at the same time, a nice option for off road or dark country driving. The 6129, is your standard high beam, low beam. Both pull power direct from the battery, rather than from the switch.

Took about 15 min to install, and that's routing wires to look neat. Fixed flickering lights. As always service was top notch .

The 40 year old headlight plugs on my harness were in serious need of replacement so I the night lighter harness looked like a great way to replace them and upgrade at the same time. The kit is designed to be plug and play. The headlights are noticeably brighter and I don't have to worry about the headlight switch overheating and losing my lights while creeping along the trails in the middle of nowhere like I had experienced in the past. Very good value priced well made product!!
