Steering Column Firewall Boot Seal, 2" Tilt Column, 66-77 Ford Bronco SKU: 9058

I was replacing my column, and this was one of the pieces I opted for to help seal the firewall to keep water from making it in the floor boards. Thicker than the original piece, but I feel lacked one aspect the original had that this one did not- a metal piece that the bolts would use to mount against. The original was flimsier rubber and used the metal ring for mounting. This part is much thicker, and I'm sure that whomever made it didn't think the metal was needed, but you're still screwing through rubber. Having a metal backing prevents deforming the rubber, so I cut the plate off the original and used it either the new one. One side note: of the 4 bolt holes, the widest ones did not line up properly. They were a little more than half the width of the hole wider. Both sides.

So, I needed a solution for a custom build, I'm running an aftermarket GM steering column. and needed a seal between the firewall and column. this worked great I trimmed it up a bit and it did exactly what I needed. should be a air tight seal. Wild horses delivered quick and the ordering was easy!

Perfect fit and is needed for the WH 2" Tilt steering column I installed.

Great part, fits my ididit column perfect, haven't got a chance to test it yet though, but have confidence that it'll work great! Plus they sent me a b**** in decal when I requested one can't beat that!

Lower column seal is beefy and works perfect with any 2" column. Very leased.
