Product Overview:

These sleeves are used so you can install your stock 66-75 tie rod and drag link after you convert to front disc brakes from 76-79 F150 or 78-79 Bronco. They are needed because the tapered holes in the bigger knuckles are larger. The sleeves bring the hole size down to fit the stock 66-75 tie rod.

Asked by Glen, March 19, 2016

Q: How do install the sleeves? I put them on the linkage and tried to pull them in by tightening, but they got stuck. Now I'm trying to put the sleeve into the knuckle first, but am having a hard time. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

1 Answer

Answered by sales - March 28, 2016

A: The sleeves are designed to be used in F150 or 78-79 knuckles with the larger taper. They should just slip into the knuckle, and be held in place by tightening you 67-75 size ball joint. If the taper is not large enough, you can ream to size with our #2385.

Ordered from Wild Horses and not only got a good product in a usable quantity but actually spoke to a real person! Deliver was quick, reasonable and the product was right and worked. One would think that since you are on the other side of the country it would take longer to get. Not true. Orders are processed quickly and shipped promptly.
