Product Overview:

These help control extreme wrap. Weld on for tube diameter 3-3.25"
Please note: These perches are too long to be used with a leaf spring shim. Welding on these new perches in the proper location will eliminate the need for leaf spring shims all together. The perch measures 8" long x 2.25" wide with a 3/4" diameter spring locating hole for use with WILD HORSES 7/16" leaf spring center pins.

Asked by Mark, May 18, 2022

Q: I bought the WH 1.5 suspension lift kit. I was thinking about drilling a 7/16 hole 1 to 3/4 forward of the original hole to center the 32 to 33 tires I plan on using to center the wheel of the uncut quarter panels. 1 - do I need new perches? 2 - if so what adjustments need to be made when installing them to adjust for the 1.5 lift?

A: New longer perches would be beneficial, just to give you more landing room for the new position of the spring. You will also want to match the hole in the top plate, so the u-bolts continue to line up straight with the axle.

Q: What is the purpose of the three prongs on each side of the arch? Should it be welded at that height?

1 Answer

Answered by 8578 - November 6, 2013

A: The prongs make it easy to fit slightly larger tube sizes. You can leave them in place or take them off whatever fits best for your particular application.

Asked by Miguel Rivera, March 11, 2013

Q: What is the difference between this product and the 8672? Can this be used in a 1977 Bronco 9 rear diff?

1 Answer

Answered by WH tech - March 11, 2013

A: Yes is can be used in a 77 Bronco. The difference is the 8672 is basically a stock replacement spring perch. The 8674 has the anti wrap feature built in by it's length.

Not only was the part a perfect fit but I mistakenly ordered two when one order came with two. They contacted me quickly to verify so I didn't order two more than were needed. GREAT customer service!
