Q: Will this clutch rod work with no body lift?

A: Yes, for a stock length clutch rod, just select stock in the drop down menu. It is also available for 1, 2, and 3 inch body lifts.

Q: I have a 1inch body lift with the np435. When l shift gears my pedal is just off the floor..Will this clutch rod give me more adjustment?

A: It should, yes, but, it depends on what you have there now. This 1942 for a 1 bl, is the best place to start, if what you have isn't cutting it. This is 1 longer than stock, an then adjustable from there.

Q: I am converting from an auto to a 4 speed so i need a clutch rod. I am planning on a 2 body lift. but later on due to the expense of the conversion. Will this adjust enough to work stock and with a 2 body lift if so which one do you recomend. Thanks

A: Our Extreme Duty Adjustable Clutch rods are build to order for the amount of body lift you need. a 2 inch body lift rod will not fit on a stock body lift Bronco.

I did my body lift a few years ago and the clutch rod that was said to work with it didn't do so very well. Maybe if I had more body lift but no. This thing on the other hand made life so much easier Hardest part of the install was getting my big meat hook around the steering column to put the pin and Carter pin in. I almost forgot what it was like to have a full clutch without trying to push through the floor.

I have a 3" WH body lift on my 72 Bronco. You will need an extended clutch rod if you go with the big body lift.

I bought this after the Stock unit popped off, at the "Z" Bar on the Frame side. This Extreme Duty, allows me to have a "Fool Proof" remedy to a dangerous problem. "So, don't wait until "the stock one" Fails while shifting gears in traffic, to where it was stuck in gear, and the Clutch Pedal plants itself to the floor board, as it just happened to me", ( twice with in weeks). My Heart was up in my Throat, both times. This Extreme Duty design, comes with everything but the new rubber boot, that you really need to replace when you make this upgrade, anyways. Mine was the original, 40 something, and was Petrified. The Extreme design uses Clevis, and a Huge Headed Pin, and Heavy Duty Cotter Pins. There maybe need to make a few small bends, but I put mine in as is. Good Idea! Well Planned! Bullet-Proof!! Back in the Blazing Saddles!

I have not yet installed my new clutch rod, but it looks to be made of high quality materials and includes everything needed (unless your rubber boot for the rod is messed up, then you should order one of those too). The design is much more rugged looking than the original rod and being adjustable, it should be a perfect fit.
