B&M Short Throw NV3550 Shifter

The New Venture NV3550 5-speed manual transmission has been one of the most popular early Bronco transmission swaps over the years. Overall, it is a great transmission for the early Bronco, but the stock shifter mechanism leaves something to be desired. This short throw NV3550 shifter from B&M upgrades the original NV3550 shifter, offering a much more satisfying shifting experience.

This well designed B&M Precision SportShifter is engineered using the finest materials available resulting in short positive shifts that you can depend on while either off-roading or driving through city streets. This stylized precision shifter reduces shift throw by 30% over the factory shifter and includes many of the key features found in B&M's race-proven shifters including a 303 stainless steel stick assembly, a CNC machined T6061 aluminum base, glass filled nylon pivot ball and a black B&M logo shift knob for a firm yet positive shift action. Combined all these features with a relatively quick and easy installation, and you get a professional level shifter that will give you years of dependable, worry-free service. Q: Im looking at part 7237NET. The title says it's for nv3550, but the description is for an ax15 so which is it?

A: It is for the NV3550. We will fix our description. The manufacturer does not list this for the AX15.

Q: Does this fit the nv3550 or ax15 ? I know the description says nv3550 but it says ax15 and doesn't list the years of the nv3550 for models it fits

A: No, B&M has separate kits for the NV3550 #7237 and AX15 #7235.

This shifter was sold out nationwide but I found it on WH. I called to confirm it was actually in stock, got an actual PERSON on the phone, placed my order after hanging up, and had it in-hand within 3 days. Retail Experience: 5 Stars. As for the shifter itself, it will definitely be a matter of personal preference but I love this shifter and (IMO) it 1) makes for a more rewarding driving experience and 2) with the shorter shift throw, gives me my second cupholder back. Aesthetically, the polished shift ball and stainless shift arm looks fantastic, and the shift ball itself is really comfortable. Huge plus on this...IF you don't like it for any reason, the install is plug and play (no additional drilling or cuts) so you can simply reinstall the OG shifter. Product Experience: 5 Stars.
