Heavy duty detent springs and balls. Over the years we have seen issues with the Dana 20 Transfer case popping out of gear, the cause of this can be worn out springs. We have measured the springs between 91 lbs per inch and 113 lbs per inch when they were new but factor in 30 years of use and they can be in the 70 lbs per inch range. Our new heavy duty springs are rated at 148lbs per inch, providing much greater holding force than the stock springs. To complete the kit we tossed in some new detent balls as well.
