Dakota Digital RTX Early Bronco Digital Gauge Cluster

The Dakota Digital RTX early Bronco digital dash gauge cluster looks at first glance like a stock original 66-77 Ford Bronco gauge cluster assembly. But as soon as you look a bit closer, there is so much more to this high tech early Bronco speedometer gauge cluster digital upgrade.

The first thing you will notice when you power on the Dakota Digital RTX Bronco digital dash is the large, full-color TFT message center. This message center displays a large digital readout of your speed in MPH (or KPH if preferred) along with the current odometer reading. With the right BIM modules added and installed, there is a ton of additional info that can display on this screen. To name a few, the RTX TFT display supports readouts for a trip meter, automatic gear shift indicator, compass heading, time, outside temperature, oil level, water temperature, fuel level, voltage reading and much more. It truly is your early Bronco command center.

Another nice addition to the early Bronco RTX digital gauge cluster is the tachometer located top center above the speedometer gauge. Tastefully placed to blend perfectly with the battery, fuel, temp and oil gauges, you can now get an RPM readout on your early Bronco without having to add a large secondary gauge on the dash or steering column.

The first images of the RTX Dakota Digital dash cluster for 66-77 Ford Bronco show the gauge cluster with the factory gauge cluster bezel over it. This is for visual presentation purposes and is not included in the kit. However, we offer OE-quality replacement gauge cluster bezels in factory argent or high polish chrome finish if you don't have your original bezel or prefer a fresh new bezel to go with your brand new gauge cluster assembly.

The Dakota Digital RTX dash gauge cluster fits all 66-77 Ford Broncos as well as 61-66 Ford Trucks. New water temperature and oil pressure sending units are included with the RTX gauge system. It also includes a speedometer VSS sensor to replace the factory speedometer cable. This gauge cluster will read your factory fuel sender and supports the stock fuel ohm range. It is also capable of being calibrated to match other common fuel sending unit ohm ranges.

The early Bronco RTX speedometer can be calibrated by driving a measured mile or km, or by manual adjustment. This is exceptionally convenient for Broncos running large tires where it is impossible to get the correct speedo gear to calibrate the speedometer. You can also calibrate the RTX speedometer gauge on your early Bronco or Ford truck by GPS when you purchase the GPS-50-2 GPS interface module by Dakota Digital.

These great features are just the tip of the iceberg for the Dakota Digital RTX Early Bronco Digital Dash Gauge Cluster. There are what feels like an infinite amount of features and options packed into this powerful digital dash system. If you want to get to know them all, the only true way is to pick up a new RTX gauge cluster for your early Bronco and start the journey!
From the manufacturer: Make 'em do a double-take when they peer inside your rig. This factory look-alike fits into your stock steel instrument bezel and delivers a vintage look while adding a tachometer and host of high-tech features. The large, full-color TFT message center can be customized with your desired readings, and the spun-aluminum accents on the instrument face and orange needles bring the look home. Also fits 1961-66 Ford pickup (except Custom Cab) with stock bezel.

The RTX series is the latest from Dakota Digital, focused on retaining that stock look without sacrificing the late-model features you love. Every effort has been put forth to incorporate OEM design elements regarding the layout, face styling and indicators. A casual glance may dismiss these as original equipment, but once you hit the switch and the LED backlighting comes on in your favorite color scheme, all doubts will be removed.

Starting from scratch, CNC machined housings are filled with electronics designed and built in-house, helping Dakota Digital once again raise the bar for aftermarket instrumentation. The high-definition TFT message centers can be fully configured to display just about any piece of information needed. As you've come to expect from Dakota Digital, the RTX series utilizes a central control box to make installation and setup as easy as possible.

Brightness·Both daytime and nighttime brightness can be easily controlled through the HDX setup menu, allowing you to choose your preferred lighting intensity level, toggled by the activation of the headlight switch. If on-the-fly rotary type control is desired, the DIM-1 is a common accessory to add this functionality.
Themes·With 12 factory preset color themes, you can quickly create a beautiful looking system. Or, for the ultimate in customization, choose all of the color zones yourself.
Technology·Full LED backlighting provides a strikingly visual gauge package, with sharp contrast for ease of viewing both night and day. Full RBG backlighting allows you to create the specific color you want, with a unique daytime and nighttime theme if desired. Whether your goal is an OE look or something truly bold, the RTX Series lets you make that choice.

Included Sensors

Water Temperature·1/8" NPT, ground isolated sensor with a 10 ft harness.
Oil Pressure·1/8" NPT solid state sensor with a 10 ft harness.
Cable Driven Speed Sensor/ Generator·Replaces Ford and/ or GM style speedometer cables with a 10 ft harness. Sensor requires approximately 5" clearance extending between the cable drive output and any obstruction. Part # 130011 (sold separately) allows for relocation of the pulse generator when additional clearance is required.
Bushings·Each kit comes with 1/8" to 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" NPT bushings along with bushings for 12mm and 16mm x 1.5 threads.

Calibration and Use

Pushbutton Control·Dakota Digital instrument systems are programmed and operated by the push of a button. A two-sided rocker switch is included with each package; mount this switch in an easily accessible location when in the driving position. The rocker switch provide quick and consistent access to all functions, either in driving mode or while in the setup menu. Button-press feedback is available through the TFT Message Center, or through the included buzzer. Once configured, this same switch is used to access the wealth of information located in the digital message centers.
Calibration·All calibration settings are handled through the included pushbutton switch or the remote Bluetooth app. While many calibration settings exist, the speedometer and fuel level are completed in most cases (unless GPS-50-2 is used, negating the need to calibrate the speedometer) through a few taps of the pushbuttons and a short test drive of the vehicle.
