WH Ford 2WD Power Steering System comes with NO ADDED CORE CHARGES!!!
Early Broncos with vacuum operated wipers, which are supplied through the fuel pump, will not be able to mount the power steering pump in the normal position. See the Tech Notes and Options for additional information.
This one is our old favorite. We have been selling and installing this system for years, and have found it to be one of the most reliable systems available. Jim still uses this on the Nightmare Bronco. The steering box used is from a mid 70's 2WD F100-350. The basic system as pictured includes rebuilt box, brand new heavy duty Delphi pump, box bracket, pump pulley, pump brackets, new pressure and return hose, hardware and instructions. Welding is required. We recommend using a certified welder. The deluxe system includes an adjustable drag link #2195
for the stock 66-75 tie rod. Check out the box brace below. It's a great option for this system. Ram option is also available by special order.
- If you are using the inverted Y type tie rod and drag link, which was stock on 76-77 Broncos, you will need to convert to the T style tie rod #2403 and adjustable drag link #2195. The 76-77 Y type linkage and its accompanying pitman arm are not compatible with this system. See the tie rod and drag link page for identification.
- Use the stock pitman arm from a 66 1/2-75 Bronco (you may already have this). Drop pitman arms will set the drag link to low and should not be used with this system.
- Minimum 2 "suspension lift is required to use this system.
- A track bar drop bracket will be necessary for proper alignment of drag link and track bar.
You will want to use the drop bracket even if you have an adjustable trac-bar and even if you have only a 2" suspension lift.
