High output 3G alternator installs in 66-77 Ford Bronco with a single wire. Delivers 90 amps at idle, 130 amps at speed. Thanks to the self-exciting regulator, this internally regulated alternator requires only a single wire for connection to your early Bronco. The alternator comes with a 30-month warranty and is available with either a v-belt or serpentine pulley. For installation, we recommend using our #6025 Battery Charge Cable. This charge cable should be used when installing any type of high amp alternator.
After installing this alternator, the factory ALT gauge will no longer function. To monitor the charging system, we suggest using our #6052 Voltage Gauge, which can be mounted in place of the ALT gauge in your stock gauge cluster. Alternatively, you can use any auto parts store volt gauge.

The Wild Horses one-wire alternator works with the stock two-piece 66-77 Ford Bronco alternator brackets. These brackets attach to the water pump with the water inlet on the passenger side (stock Bronco).

A: No, the 6009 fan kit is not compatible with this alternator.
