Crawler Transfer Case Gears Rebuild Kit for Dana 20
Dana 20 3.15:1 Low Gear Set
Have a low geared Dana 20 without breaking the bank. Is it time to rebuild your transfer case? Well, there's no time like the present to add the low gear option you've been wanting. This gear set is complete and will replace every gear in your Dana 20 so you will not be mixing old and new gears together. If you are running the 2.46 gears (common in T-shift Bronco 20's) you will gain a 28% increase. If you are running the 2.34 gears (common in J-shift Bronco 20's) you will gain a 34% increase.
Here's an example. Let's say you have an NP 435 transmission with the 6.69:1 low gear. The equation would look like this 6.69 x 2.46 x 4.11 = 67.63:1 (transmission x transfer case x rear end = final ratio).
With the low gear set it would look like this: 6.69 x 3.15 x 4.11 = 86.61:1.
Keep in mind with this low gear option there are no driveshaft or cross member changes. If you can rebuild a transfer case you can install these gears. Additional options you may want to consider are the Dana 20 bearing kit and the Extreme duty Dana 20 output shaft.
