Description

66-75 Ford Bronco T-Style Steering Linkage

Replace the factory early Bronco steering linkage with our heavy duty 3-way adjustable tie rod & drag link kit. The factory 66-75 Bronco tie rods and draglink assembly only allows for a single adjustment at the passenger side. This custom early Bronco steering linkage assembly has adjustment sleeves at the drag link and on each end of the tie rods near the steering knuckles.

66-75 Ford Bronco Steering Linkage Kit includes:

  • 66-75 Ford Bronco Adjustable Draglink with Adjusting Sleeve
  • Center Connecting Tie Rod with Threaded Ends
  • Driver & Passenger Short Outer Tie Rods
  • Driver & Passenger Tie Rod Adjusting Sleeves.

Designed to fit 1966-75 Ford Broncos with factory t-style steering links. We also offer a 76-77 Ford Bronco T-Style Steering Linkage Conversion to replace the factory Y-style steering linkage. The outer tie rods on our custom steering linkage kit are designed to support both 66-75 Bronco steering knuckles and 76-77 Bronco steering knuckles. If you decide later to switch your Bronco over to 76-77 Bronco knuckles, you will just need to replace the center link as the 76-77 knuckles sit about 2-inches wider than 66-75 Bronco knuckles.

The drag link on an early 1966 Ford Bronco varied from those on 67-75 Broncos. It can be identified by the stock pitman arm casting #C6TZ-3590-H. The difference on this drag link is the ball joint taper. It's smaller than those found on 67-75 Ford Broncos, so the hole in the pitman arm is smaller as well. Ford went back to this smaller hole taper when for 76-77 Ford Broncos. If you have a 1966 Ford Bronco with this small taper pitman arm, you can purchase this kit and add a 67-75 Bronco steering pitman arm or drop pitman arm. Alternatively, if you give our sales team a call, we can sell you this kit with a small taper drag link end to bolt directly up to your 1966 Bronco pitman arm.

Replace Your Tie Rods!

My steering components were probably as old as the vehicle (1968). The hardest part was getting the old parts out but even that was not that difficult with the right borrowed tools for your local parts store. The was one of two parts bought to eliminate the death wobble and it did just that. I do have a drop pitman arm and a 3-1/2" suspension lift. All great.

Track Bar installs and provided the rigidity needed to help with death wobble. I did find the adjustment was not enough (shorter) to center my axle but later discovered my body lift was not centered. This was one of two products I bought to eliminate my death wobble.

Looks and fits great. Seems strong. Was just missing two cotter pins and two zerk fittings.

Easy to install - waiting to test drive after alignment. Boxes were seal when they arrived, but I was short two bags of Cotter Pin.

To my surprise, everything except for the rod ends were already painted. I haven't installed yet, but looks to be quite beefy in construction.

Great quality except that one rod end had bad threads at cotter pin hole and I didn't notice until it was installed. Check to be sure your nuts will go on past the cotter pin hole before you install.

Used this unit instead of just replacing the ends. Comes complete with everything needed, good quality solid feeling. Comes with no instructions, so it may take you a couple of minutes to mentally piece it together, but goes together simply once you determine which side of the collars have reverse threads. Comes bare metal, so have a rattle can handy of you have OCD like me.

This is a great kit, it would have been better if it came with basic instructions and torque spec's for the castle's.
