Thread size on the new J-bolts is only 3/8" and bend easily due to the extreme angle between the fuel tank strap end and frame holes. My old ones that came with my 23 gallon tank were thicker at 7/16" thick. Hopefully in the future these J-bolts are upsized to 7/16" or larger" to avoid bending. (If you're into extreme rock crawling with a stock setup, you've probably dropped your tank on the rocks.) :(
Note From WILD HORSES: A much better selection for the aftermarket fuel tanks would be our #9661. The J-bolt #9734 is a stock replacement bolt for use with stock rear tank.
