Full description

The Reid Racing Flat Top Extreme Duty Knuckles are designed for off-road use and are interchangeable with all factory and aftermarket Dana 44 components.

The Reid Racing Flat Top Extreme Duty Knuckles are designed for off-road use and are interchangeable with all factory and aftermarket Dana 44 components. They are cast from high strength ductile iron and beefed up with extra material and ribbing. They are fully machined and ready for installation.

The Chevy/Jeep spindle bolt pattern on this knuckle accepts "outers" from all open knuckle Chevy and Jeep Dana 44, Dana 30, and 10-bolt front ends to 1986. It will fit 10-bolt and early Dana 30 axles with minor modification.

The flat tops are machined and drilled for high steer arms with an extra 3/8" thickness to improve leaf spring clearance. A 4th bolt hole for high steer arms increases the clamping force and sheer strength (3 hole high steer arms still fit).

Cast-in DUAL steering stops eliminate bent stop bolts that can cause u-joint and axle failures. They are also machined to clear CTM u-joints without removing the grease fittings.

The tie rod holes are tapered from the top to the bottom and will accept 78-79 Bronco or 76-79 F150 tie rod ends. The tie rod holes can be drilled to accept 3/4" heim ends.

These knuckles are powder coated bright orange for long lasting looks. There is no warranty on this product.
These do not come with spindle studs

They are much thicker and heavier than the stock knuckles. Also, its super handy that they are already tapered for tie-rod-over installations. If your using the cast-in tie rod points on these knuckles (not high steer arms bolted to the top), then be aware that the shape of these knuckles is such that the actual point where the tie rod attaches to the knuckle is closer to the tire/wheel than it is on the stock knuckles. First of all, this means you'll be adjusting the tie rod to make it longer, and then re-centering the steering wheel. More importantly, this might cause some clearance issues for some. I'm running 15 inch wheels with 3.75 backspacing and the giant WH "Clydesdale" tie rod ends, and the inner wheel weights *barely* clear those huge Clydesdale tie rod ends. Great product, though. Casting and machining quality are top-notch. I'll feel much better in the rough stuff with these holding up the front end of my admittedly overweight Bronco!
