I think these adapters are worth every penny having not gotten them the first time. After having a local shop in my area set up the brakes and mount my $95 proportioning valve to the frame, upon bleeding the brakes I noticed a leak that would not go away and upon inspection I discovered that they basically ruined both the front and rear brake nipples in the valve by overtightening crooked double flares into the front and back ports on the proportioning valve. With these adapters, although you could still possibly have the same thing happen, at least you will not be connecting directly into the proportioning valve. It would have some leeway if something got screwed up with your double flares if you were making your own brake lines. I would rather ruin a $5 adapter fitting than take my chances and possibly ruin a $95 proportioning valve. You do the math! I am learning this lesson from a mistake that was not even done by me! So hopefully my fellow BroncoNuts won't have the same setback because they are REALLY NOT FUN!!!
