Thick rubber gasket and oversized mounting screws make for a tight leak proof seal.

My tank has been "modified" by rocks and therefore, I needed to adjust the depth of the sender. I was able to easily do this and there are two ways to do so. I have yet to put fuel in the tank to test it, but I did ohm it to verify it's working.
