    These brand new permanent magnet early Bronco gear reduction starters weigh about 50% less than the stock 66-77 Ford Bronco starter. They offer more starting power but require less cranking amps. It's smaller size provides better header clearance.

    • High-performance direct fit for stock starters
    • Field case assemblies are 100% tested on a computerized gaussmeter to measure magnet strength & position.
    • Zinc plated field case, solenoid, C.E. cover & hardware
    • Armatures are precision balanced & feature banded hairpins
    • Commutators are stake-welded & polished for longer brush life
    • Carbon brushes are welded - same as OE Planetary gears feature needle bearings (rather than bushings)
    • Solenoids feature late style S-terminal with threaded post
    • All component parts are OE interchangeable

    The "Hi Torque Gear Reduction Starter 289-302-351W" and "Starter Relay" kicked my 68 Bronco that's been sitting dormant in the hot SW Florida sun for over 3 yrs over like a charm.

    Perfect replacement starter. It sounds great and works great. I did need to get longer bolts to mount the starter as the stock bolts were about a half inch too short.

    I just installed this starter to replace the stock version. Instructions very clear and simple except on my install the bolts that were on there was too short for the new starter. No problem just picked some up a half inch longer and was good to go. This starter is also quieter than stock so better sounding too.
