Transmission Conversions
If you are converting from an automatic to a manual transmission, the list here includes most of the things you will want to consider.
Wild Horses supports the do-it-yourselfer by offering individual parts and adapters. Please keep in mind many of these parts have been specifically fabricated to go with other parts we offer. It will be up to you to determine if these parts will suit your needs.
When converting from an automatic to a manual transmission, you will want to consider:
* Transmission & shifter of your choice.
* Transmission adapter for your transmission.
* Manual Starter.
* Clutch and brake pedal set.
* Manual T-case input shaft (8").

Item #: 8208 Flywheel (289,302,351W) 28 OZ. 164 tooth. NOTE: This flywheel WILL NOT WORK with stock 3 finger style pressure plates. These work with modern diaphragm type plates like the ones in WH Luk and Centerforce clutch kits. NOTE: You may or may not need the 3/8" pressure plate bolts. Item #: 8107NET Centerforce II Clutch Kit This is our most popular clutch kit. The Centerforce II provides 60% greater holding capacity over a standard factory clutch. It is recommended for mildly modified vehicles used on the street and trail. The CF II utilizes a full facing-disc with premium friction materials and a pressure plate with patented centrifugal weights. Furthermore, static clamp load is increased via their patented machining processes. This combination allows superb holding power and maximum clutch life, making this stage ideal for selected street/strip, off-road and towing applications.
